Zacky 🏰 MaIt’s almost 2023 and there’s still not a single decent input method for Chinese Pinyin on #ios. The built-in one has gone so much worse over the years: the dictionary is so limited and outdated; autocorrection, when it doesn’t autoincorrect your correct typing, constantly suggests words that are so niche or just made up. Alternative is buggy Gboard or one made by a Chinese company and fully give up your privacy. AI can speak human languages now, but iOS can’t help humans speak Chinese properly đź«
Was typing “possum” in Chinese, which spells “fu shu” in Pinyin (phonetic representations of Chinese), and iOS decided to suggest “Disney”, which spells “di shi ni”, as a candidate word. Really confused with iOS Chinese keyboard’s logic and dictionary. 🤷🏻‍♂️
