I generally follow a "two strikes" social media rule. If someone I don't really know is rude to me once, I give them the benefit of the doubt (maybe they're having a bad day?). If they're rude again then they're gone, either muted or banned depending on if I want them to be able to still see my content.

You can and should control your social media experience. There is no "right" for someone to be part of your experience on social media. You don't owe anyone that.

@pollak I’m really happy to limit people on my feeds - a couple instances of “too much DrAmA” and I’m unfollowing. I routinely snooze my own mom on the facebook for her reposts of misinformation (she’s now an anti-vaxx tRumper) 😂🤷‍♀️ I don’t put up with that crap.

@pollak I agree with you. It sometimes means that I miss some “alternative” ideas but if you believe something, present it like you are talking to your Grandma.
