After playing around with a few different #Mastodon apps, I have Some Thoughts:

(1/4)

First, @ivory: Lovely UI with gorgeous animations and sounds. But it’s difficult to use without a notification tab, and I wish I could tap on a post to see more details vs swiping

Wooly by @mttvll: I’m really liking how much it looks/feels like Twitter. Notifications tab is excellent, and being able to quickly jump to followed tags is huge. Would love to be able to tap the top of the screen to go home, though!

Mastoot by @libei: This remains my go-to app at the moment. Super stable, good customization options, easy to see who favorites or boosts your posts. Just all around great so far.

It’s still Very Early days for many Mastodon apps, which makes it all the more impressive how damn good so many of them are!

I’ve had a blast bouncing back and forth between all of these, and I really can’t wait to see how they keep growing in the months to come

@joemaring

I tried #megalodon and concluded I don't need apps.

The #webapp always have the edge

@alceawisteria Haven’t heard of that one! I’ll have to give it a shot 🙂
@joemaring @alceawisteria It's only an android app. I went to check out Woolly and I believe that's an iOS app.
@joemaring it’s an alpha and notifications tab is coming soon. 🙂 single tap to details is coming as an option in the future once we implement inline buttons.
