@dhstokyo @pxmolina @zebpalmer I like the intent, but weren't they in Bethlehem b/c that was David's ancestral hometown, for census purposes? I don't think that fits most reasonable definitions of "migrant".
@zebpalmer Yeah, if the picture was about this family while they lived in Egypt, and the word we were talking about was "refugee", that link would be much more relevant.
@seanb I think your response is very pedantic. The point is, conservatives hate immigrants/refugees, and (as told) Jesus, Joseph and Mary were such right after Bethlehem. The fact that they weren't at that exact moment is irrelevant. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
@zebpalmer I'm all for pointing out the hypocrisy of conservative Christians demonizing migrants and refugees. I have criticism of how well this picture captures that point ...
but it's late, I've had a long day, and you are absolutely right that I'm being overly pedantic for no good reason.
