I like the idea of climbing spikes though, i was in the Canadian Navy a long time ago and we used to visit Seattle all the time, wonderful city. I had a look and was shocked that it was -2c today and still have a winter storm warning.
Best advice is stay home if you can, with the NW pacific environment, the constant melting and freezing your roads are going to be total ice rinks
