#ThrowBackThurday - A few years ago, I was lucky enough to have my dream book published - a history of #MastersOfTheUniverse with a focus on the Dolph Lundgren #HeMan movie from 1987.
I'm still sorta pinching myself, to be honest...

@BrianCBaer this franchise really needs major backing and writers who can take the rich fantasy world of MOTU and turn it into something that could rival the LOTR trilogy. MOTU easily has as much fantasy as LOTR to make it happen. Congrats on the book!

@MOTU Thanks! I've enjoyed the two new series and the new toys are great, but you're right. I think they really need to nail a new movie to hit peek relevance again. I'm glad Mattel is investing in the brand so much lately, though. That's a good sign!

@BrianCBaer they are investing because the kids of the 80s are now grown ass men with money 😂 I’ve spent over $1000 on motu merchandise in the last month alone. The recent crowdsourced Eternia set grossed them well over $5 million and is evidence enough for “if you build it, they will buy it”. And the resale market on eBay is also insane. Camo Khan is selling for $100+
