@dl I got it a few months ago, for the first time- I've always worn my N95, and gotten boosted. Just got the Bivalent booster 3 weeks ago too.

I have yet to recover my energy to the same level as before I got it :/

@linkeddev @dl I always mask. I caught it back in July. Fully boosted. But my one lapse was I spent 30 seconds with my head poked out of my door into the hallway of my apartment building without a mask. Literally my only exposure.

And I remember thinking at the time that it was foolish but hopefully I'll be okay. Three days later I felt like death and tested positive.

@dl once that I know of - positive home test.
@dl I think I deserve a gold star for "never"
@dl and 2 weeks ago. For the first time. I know where I got exposed, too, and it was my own fault. I took a risk at a small holiday gathering.
@dl @rysiek Frankly, I had it twice about 1.5 years apart and interestingly the symptoms and course of the disease were identical in both cases!

@dl Back in May. Exposure at a long-term care facility because family stuff. It was mild for me *in the moment*, and I don't believe it won't have long-term consequences. I don't want to be reinfected. Ever.

Yes, I was vaccinated. I think it kept my case mild *in the moment*. I keep my vaccinations updated, too. Still: I don't want reinfection. And I don't want to pass it on to others either.

@dl Zero, AFAIK. Vaxxed, so it's always possible there was an asymptomatic infection...
@dl "so far, that you know of" 😃😭

@dl I picked it up less than a week after getting my bivalent booster in September.

It was thankfully super mild, certainly thanks to the booster. They're not perfect, but they're better than nothing!

@dl could use a "not yet" option ;-)
@dl can you add "I don't remember' because quite frankly that is a thing..
@dl Once. Caught it two weeks ago after managing to avoid it the whole time beforehand. As far as I can tell, purely because someone at a work function didn’t check and consequently gave it to me (I WFH and only go to in person events once every 4 to 6 weeks.)
@dl I only caught it because I'm surrounded by people who do not respect mask mandates even when they were applied (long gone now), and I work some place that never even gave me the opportunity to work from home.
@asatiir @dl That's funny because I live in an area where most people never wore masks (including myself) and I only caught it July 2022. I also interact with people in public (not co-workers) on a daily basis.
@dl I answered never, but it sometimes I wonder. I've been super sick a few times over the past years, but my tests were always negative. I am privleged to work from home. Fully boosted, never stopped masking.
@dl These polls should include population density. I live in a suburban/rural area. The infection rate was low here.
@dl Somewhere between 0 and 2, but lack of testing means I couldn't confirm, so I'll never know.

@dl If I might propose a followup poll: "Of the people who have only had Covid-19 once, when did you first contract it?"

I suspect the *vast* majority of your "once"s are this year, in the last 6 months, because that's when the vaccine-evading variant appeared.

@dl Pretty strong skew in the sample towards people who are clearly being unusually careful, since the proportion of people having had covid at least one was being estimated at about 60% in the US and 70% in the UK already back in April of this year.
