Little Mastodon tip if like me you find the content warning culture here overly annoying, you can just go into your settings and tell it to auto-show all posts and/or all sensitive posts. So you can effectively get rid of the content warnings for yourself but let everyone else still have them, which is cool.
@brkeogh does anyone else have the issue that this appears not to work on the iOS app?
@Jslez oh yeah you’re right! Wonder if there’s a different settings menu on the app for it?
@brkeogh the CW thing is such a self-parody. folks demanding they should be able to follow people and then force those same people to add warnings to whatever random subgenre they’ve decided somebody has “anxiety” about. suggest, ask, unfollow, sure - but demand on pain of expulsion of entire servers? there’s nothing progressive about that #CW
@Jslez using a CW gives others the choice. If you don't like it, you can get the posts to open automatically by changing your settings.
@Sarahw that feature doesn’t work on mobile. and entire servers of journalists are being de-federated by people demanding that CW their entire work
@Jslez @Sarahw are you using the native app? Don't. It's shit. Use the web interface or a 3rd party app to get better functionality.
@froodie @Jslez @Sarahw Any specific app suggestions on Android? I haven't had too many complaints about the native app, but maybe I just don't know how much better it could be.
@bkoppe @froodie @Jslez @Sarahw I'm using Tusky and I really like it.
