You can donate directly to the defense and reconstruction of Ukraine:

https://u24.gov.ua/

Donations towards medical aid or rebuilding (but not defense and demining) appear to be tax deductible (EIN 87-2080907).

For every boost this post gets, I'll add a dollar to my next donation.

UNITED24 — The initiative of the President of Ukraine

The official fundraising platform for collecting donations to support Ukraine

First donation made. Keep 'em coming.

Think I'm bluffing? As the man once said, fuck around and find out.

Receipts, part 2.

This hit 800 boosts, so I decided to round up.

Thank you all so much, and merry Christmas.

1) Get in on this. If it's good enough for Morgan Fairchild...

2) Tell your Twitter friends.

3) If LivFaustDieJung and IAmTheWarax make it over here (verified), I'll toss in another hundred bucks for each of 'em.

@theruss I’ve given several times but have no reason to believe it’s tax deductible - can you back that claim up?
@peterwbackes Good point; I am going to take that out while I recheck my sources. It may only apply to donations via a partner organization.

@peterwbackes Found it, I think.

Page 4 of https://files.u24.gov.ua/report_20220512_EN.pdf includes "receipts to the accounts of the Ukraine House DC Foundation"

Their Tax ID is 87-2080907.

@peterwbackes @theruss You get this text when you try to donate to the medical or rebuilding targets.
@theruss I believe it is tax deductible for US taxpayers. I got a receipt for my donation that listed EIN 87-2080907, which received a determination letter from the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charity.
@DaveMWilburn Good info, thanks. Did you make it directly through U24.ua.gov or via some other means?
@theruss I went straight to the URL you posted.

@DaveMWilburn I figured it out!

Donations to "Defence and Demining" don't send a receipt or show a tax ID, but the "Medical Aid" category shows a tax ID and I'm betting it'll send a receipt.

@theruss Thanks for the reminder. I helped buy drones a while back but time to do more.
@theruss Thank you for posting this! I have boosted it so that more people can see it, and I have also donated US$100 to Ukraine via this website.
@theruss you want to continue donating until the entire Ukraine is wiped out? Why not sit on a table and come to an agreement that favors all

@onyiakabz

Here's an agreement that favors all:

Russia ends its invasion of Ukraine and completely withdraws from Donetsk, Luhansk, and the Crimea.

It returns the Ukrainians it kidnapped, especially the children.

It hands its war criminals over for trial.

And it pays reparations for the damage it has inflicted on civilian lives and infrastructure.

That's the best-case scenario for Russia.

If it chooses not to accept this very generous offer... the Russian federation will soon defederate.

@onyiakabz @theruss
Because Russia should not be favored. They should get their asses kicked back to Moscow.
@theruss
Thank you for sharing.
We have sent a donation and encouraged others to do the same.
@theruss are they accepting crypto currency

@HRHSheriff They were a while ago: https://twitter.com/Ukraine/status/1497594592438497282

Caveat emptor: that was in February, so I can't guarantee that those wallets are still in service.
