In all seriousness, #linux has a barrier to entry which is installing the #OS, most non-techies buy a prebuilt PC with windows installed. #mastodon's federated model is a bit wierd to non-techies if they don't understand that their choice of server literally doesn't matter. The only barrier to entry is making an account.
