My best friend called yesterday, said she had a bad cold, a little fever. I told her that you don’t get fever with a cold. I asked how she caught it: Her husband. I asked how he caught it. He stopped wearing a mask πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. She’s none too happy with him. Both are well-informed progressives. I insisted they get COVID tests.

Guess what. Yep.

To quote my friend, β€œWe sure learned our lesson.” πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ She thanked me profusely. Their dr. told them to quarantine, said their vax helped enormously.

@GottaLaff had a friend tell me, after they got it at a concert where they weren't vigilant about masking, that "everyone is gonna get it eventually".

Even if that was the case, I'd like to wait for a less harmful strain, or an even more effective vaccine.

Is that just how we rationalize getting sick because our government has had the WORST messaging possible on this issue?

Either way, I have 2 autoimmune disorders I DO NOT NEED MORE.
