Know anyone who might be willing to entertain us at NANOG with some commentary on projects like these? I'm sure Geoff would have something to say, but perhaps someone who is in the EU might be best?
@alexband @maarten @gbxyz @benno I'd be happy to shepherd it. Thanks in advance if they do. Submission deadline for the next meeting is January 9 if anyone is willing and able. If that is too soon, submissions are open for the June meeting.
My personal take is that maybe it's time to call this "techo-nationalism". Perhaps that is too charged a term, but phrases such as fragmentation, shutdown, walled garden, sanction, censorship, etc. seem to be dancing around the geo-political nature of these trends.
Benno Overeinder@jtk @alexband @maarten @gbxyz John, the RIPE TF is about to be formed and the charter will be further refined in January. But it is well worth presenting and discussing the plan and intended outcome (a BCP) of the RIPE TF to the NANOG community.
