@BlackAzizAnansi I'm so angry often about how much housing is treated like an investment instead of the point being somewhere for people to live, to make memories, to settle in and be happy. I don't care about people who invest in their own equity to eventually get themselves a nicer place, but I hate all the house flippers, the people who rent out 50+ houses and use disinterested awful management companies, etc. Ugh!

Hedge funds and private equity are so awash in cash with nowhere to invest as the stock market is overpriced and bond yields low. So they went into real estate. Pisses me off. With the big corporations in real estate, gone are the various characters who were landlords and their humanity and pride in their job. Thankfully my current landlords, though bigger, still have a connection with people who are their clients. Private equity only ever sees a spreadsheet.
