Is there some bizarre disconnect happening with Americans who are hating on Russia for the numerous atrocities they have committed now and in the past, but forget about the history of atrocities committed by colonizers, from the beginning to now, in the United States??? I've been slammed for posting the photos by Dmitry Kokh because he was born in Russia and that somehow instantly makes him a bad person. Really?? What am I missing? Selective memory perhaps?
@MicheleV_AK The Russian people are not all bad some of them disagree with what their government is doing. Just like during WW2 all Germans were not all bad again it was their leaders.
@Rlp65 It's kind of like saying I was responsible for slavery or Jim Crow since I was born in South Carolina. Weirdness.
@MicheleV_AK I think quite a lot of schools and media have not educated the public about government / military atrocities in this country. They’ve whitewashed it, pun intentional. At least, that’s been my experience.
@MicheleV_AK Americans not known for nuanced thinking. 😒
@MicheleV_AK I don’t remember the exact phrase but Oscar Wild have said the only crime in literature was bad writing… “House of Bears” was an incredible photograph. And the sanctions against countries should target the ruling class behind the abusive decisions not the public who are also abused by the ruling class.
