Maybe also sth. like #EnerMast for energy things that are not exactly policy issues? Might sound a bit weird, though...

What would EnerMast stand for, Mastodon again?
We're in the Fediverse and it is not good if we establish the false perception that Mastodon were the only system. It's un-factual. Servers (instances) are running Friendica or Diaspora, as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fediverse#Fediverse_software_packages
And establishing the notion that Mastodon were The Fediverse may well lead to later detrimental impact on the Fediverse, our self-image, our organising.
Maybe, you could use #...Fedi?

Why not appealing? Ist it because the false notion has already been firmly established that they / we moved into "The Mastodon World"?
Then it's high time to undo the wrong programming.
Repeatedly stumbling across a hashtag with #..Fedi would help undoing it. So. help yourself and us undoing the wrong perception, use #...Fedi 🖖🏼
