We should be regulating the clock app and many others for the same reason China does, they know it rots our brains.

That being said, the US plans to ban it have nothing to do with that or the excellent content this person produced, it has to do with using xenophobia and culture wars to distract the people from bigger problems...like those raised in this excellent video :)

@TheSaanichDaily I'm going to be honest I'm confused by your comment. So America hasn't been xenophobic and sparked culture wars before this app existed? Because history tells a different story. So I'm confused on how one app is responsible for that... Ruby Bridges is just a few years older than my mother... Was TikTok responsible for that moment too? And these questions don't require answers they're just rhetorical.

My point is that banning that app is just an another extension of those xenophobic tendencies you described. Its also about "China bad" as a distraction from the real issues.
