You either helped build it early on and believed in it before the Twitter exodus, or you're part of that exodus and had to leave a platform that you cared about bc of your morals, but either way, you're here and I think that's really cool. Then a few years ago the bird platform I was on started deteriorating, so I tried Mastodon that was hip at that time, although it was in the Fedi. But it wasn’t a place. It was engineering. It is just now that the Twitter exodus pushes people to fight for a new place. I'm still skeptical we can turn this protocol based engineering platform into one. But now I have hope.
