Nice as it is to have people following this account who also follow it "elsewhere", whilst that survives, the bit that I really enjoy is finding new victims to send down wikiholes.

This here is Beatrice Shilling. Do yourself a favour and find out more - I promise you won't regret it

Also worth saying to anyone who discovered DreadShips over here, there's no cross posting - it's a different venue with a different crowd, so of course you get your own content.

I'm not saying that content has suddenly improved though. I have my standards, but I never said they were good ones...

@DreadShips Does that damn thing have googly eyes?

@DreadShips

What were they thinking?

Beers after work?

🤣

@DreadShips We need more photos of latter half 19th century French ships. Those will elevate the aesthetics, if not the utility, of the presented ships.
@DreadShips And if we don’t like these standards, you have others? Like, oh, a Pennsylvania class? 😂

@DreadShips I, for one, am not a cross post hater and really enjoy your content but my use of twitter has dropped off dramatically.

If you want to keep this account twitter free, any chance of setting up a separate account that might automatically cross post…I need that sweet, sweet cringy naval history

@TwShiloh problem is that I use a lot of GIFs over there, and that doesn't play nicely with Mastodon as I understand it. With Connector recently I almost found myself with two threads at once, which was interesting - I might do more of that
@DreadShips excellent! Look, I’m searching for reasons to hand you my paycheck (ok, maybe a small fraction of it) and I’m not really even a naval history guy. 😂
@DreadShips I really enjoy threads like these.

@DreadShips Indeed, I don’t regret it.

How did you avoid a mysterious throwaway about her orifice?
