@Teri_Kanefield @karabaic #Criminal #tRump #USPol #Jan6 Thats the thing people kept missing when they called tRump a traitor. The statute was really narrowly defined. Russia wasn’t an “enemy state” and that was required to meet the standard for prosecution.
@Pineywoozle @Teri_Kanefield @karabaic
According to the Cambridge Dictionary a traitor is "a person who is not loyal or stops being loyal to their own country, social class, beliefs, etc.: "
By that definition, trump is a traitor. His conduct MAY not have risen to the level that would result in his being executed but he is, nevertheless, a traitor.
@_Bill_ @Teri_Kanefield @karabaic Of course he’s a traitor. No one said he wasn’t. The discussion was about how even though he IS a traitor he ISN’T one as traitor is defined legally for prosecution. The people yelling for someone to bring charges didnt & many still don’t understand how narrow the term is defined by law.

I understand and agree with your point.
There's no way you will successfully educate those who will not be educated. Sadly, while wilful ignorance is more prevalent among Republicans it shows up everywhere.
@_Bill_ Hopefully we nab him on the #Jan6 stuff because I truly believe if we get him on one thing his house of cards collapses and the rest just flows. Fingers crossed.
