Suzyanalyst1Mastodon is starting to feel like an inevitable thing, as my timeline starts to feature qualities of the best era of Twitter—like diversity, authenticity, relevance and wit—but with even higher levels of humanity, intellect and earnestness due to the selective population. I’m so glad to see this happening, and have hope we will do great things here.

@Skibeat7 I actually meant self-selecting, so that came out a bit wrong. People coming to Mastodon because they have certain values, and/or are leaving Twitter, gives the site a distinctively earnest vibe Twitter didn’t really have—it was definitely a lot of fun in the mid-2010s, but it was always a mixed bag politically—which was fine but different.
