Learning the ropes of using #mastodon - the sign up was easy. Something about it reminded me of setting up to use #Usenet news in the early days of the Internet going mainstream.

You couldn’t move for free set-up disks (floppy or CD, take your pick) being distributed everywhere.
I always went back to #CompuServe - it just felt more refined. But that was probably just familiarity.
