Landed in London, England, GB. Apx. flt. time 7 Hours : 9 Mins.
3,263 mile (2,836 NM) flight from DOH to LTN

Flight Fuel Info
~ 3,603 gallons (13,640 liters).
~ 24,150 lbs (10,954 kg) of jet fuel used.
~ $22,845 cost of fuel.
~ 38 tons of CO2 emissions.
@elonjet more tons of CO2. How many people's "yearly carbon allowance" has Dollar Store Tony Stark wasted now?
@jt_rebelo @elonjet the world is not overpopulated with people. It’s overpopulated with billionaires

@jt_rebelo @elonjet Well just in that flight he has used 5.588x what the average european emits in a year(2019), and 2.375x what the average american emits in a year(2021)

I just googled it so the numbers might need some reviewing, but fucking hell.

@jt_rebelo @elonjet about 2 Americans or 4 Europeans or about 20 Middle-income country people or maybe 100+ low-income country people

Too many

@elonjet John Mastondon will stop you Elon

@elonjet For context, Google says, "The average carbon footprint for a person in the United States is 16 tons, one of the highest rates in the world. Globally, the average carbon footprint is closer to 4 tons."

So his Monday morning is worse for the environment than two of my years.

@jv2o21 @elonjet And I'm guessing this is just a fuel stop on his way home from the world cup. So make that four years, probably.
@jv2o21 @elonjet Not just worse, but much worse, because carbon footprint usually also factors in the industry.
@jv2o21 @elonjet and as far as I know 2.3t per year per person would be necessary by 2030. Quite a lot of people have to go below that for Elon :)
@elonjet @planetlover27 here is food for thought
@cea @elonjet
But he drove to the airport in a Tesla so it's all okay
@elonjet 😂👏Bahahahahahahah ✌️
@elonjet 11 tonnes of jet fuel?! That's probably not surprising to people who know more about planes than me... But that's seems crazy when you visualise it and that it's only for one person to go watch the football
@Jumbt @elonjet Jet engines are absolute guzzlers
@Jumbt @elonjet that's also just London to doha. Another trip bigger than this to go to SAF 😭😭
@Jumbt @elonjet Regular jets are actually verry efficiant. The newest ones are down to 2 liter per 100km and person, means better than a car. The problem is you often fly 5k or 10k kilometers in one go. So it will still be a lot of fuel. But well, Musk is flying alone.
@elonjet Luton because that's where https://www.harrodsaviation.com/ is? (It's owned by Qatar Holding.)
@elonjet
Und alles für ein Fußballspiel das er auch im TV hätte sehen können.
Alleine was das Kerosin für Hin.- und Rückflug gekostet hat, davon können manche Familien 1 Jahr lang Leben.

@elonjet Litte math for fun:

If you put that in relation to a regular net worth of 2000 Dollars, that flight would cost you 0.00028 Dollars. Wouldn't you fly to the finals under those circumstances?

@elonjet Fun fact: You would have to fly that route 36 times for there to even be a coin for that!
@elonjet Are there accounts that track other billionaire's jets?
@elonjet this is absolutely hilarious my favorite part is the co2
@elonjet the CO₂ budget from the hole year 2022 would be nice 😇
@elonjet Luckily I don't produce that much ton of CO2 emission in my whole life. What he does in a single flight.
@elonjet So this is the *yearly* CO2 footprint of 19 people who live a sustainable life. With just one flight.
