The GOP just elected a new congressman who appears to have simply made up his entire résumé & most of his life story. Why did no one do a deep dive on him until now? Because society functions on a measure of trust—we can’t assume that people are likely lying about, well, everything!

New York Republican George Santos’s Résumé Called Into Question

Mr. Santos, a Republican from New York, says he’s the “embodiment of the American dream.” But he seems to have misrepresented a number of his career highlights.
