@clarinette thank god it isn’t 1822, god only know what would have happened! But again, putting myself in the shoes of a young Indian immigrant on an H1-B, the threat of a job loss is existential. You have 60 days to find a new job or you have to pack up yourself (heaven forbid have a family or children) and leave the US, back to an uncertain future. Just terrifying!
