Everything feels like it's been so hard since 2020 (and also 2016). I'd love to hear what life lessons you've taken away from the last few years. There have to be some, right?

RIGHT?

@JulieDiCaro There are times, up to 33 months (and counting) long, where life just sucks.
@JulieDiCaro Yes! I learned that therapy can be quite a good thing. So can treating anxiety rather than ignoring it.

@JulieDiCaro If there's something you want to learn how to do, jump right in! It's actually not that hard to grasp the basics of something.

(In the last 18 months I've gotten mediocre at chess, kinda good at sewing, and am working on learning to draw!)

@JulieDiCaro that taking care of my relationships with the people closest to me is key. They are my lifeboat.
@JulieDiCaro I’ve learned to say “I love you” or “ I really appreciate you” more to family and friends. Life is too short to leave things unspoken.
@JulieDiCaro Don't not do something because you'll be "too old" when you're done. You're going to be that age anyway, you might as well have a new degree or job you love!
@JulieDiCaro Take care of yourself. Draw lines, take time outs, whatever you need to do. Because you can’t be your best and help the world if you don’t help yourself first.
@JulieDiCaro Nature is essential. We need to take more time to be out, to see the green (or snow, or sand), to listen to birds, to be among trees. It is calming, refreshing, and healing. Even 10 minutes during a day is better than being inside/ina car/on the train all day.
@JulieDiCaro To concentrate on my own mental health more. I no longer entertain those who aren't there for me when I need them.
@JulieDiCaro Mosty more patience & self care. Appreciate the little things that are good & don't sweat what you can't do anything about.
@JulieDiCaro I am much more patient and am telling people I like their hair or glasses. Just small acts of kindness.
