It's fascinating and disturbing watching people take the plain language of the new policy and twist it to mean "well, they're really only going after spammers..."

It is clearly not that. There are two separate sections, one specifically about content *on the tweet level* and another on suspension of accounts.

People are happily concluding the latter precludes the former and it's driving me mad.

@TechConnectify I'm crawling up the Mastodon learning curve and this is my first try at a reply. Hopefully I'm not breaking etiquette.

Has anyone mentioned the damage to the new bird site owners personal brand? If I were in the market for an EV, and I will be when my building completes the contact to install charging in the garage, vehicle brand T will not be a consideration for me. How do I know I won't get my car bricked if I offend the boss? Or maybe my brakes will malfunction?

@EricHoehn The smart ones are considering it, yeah.

It's interesting how Tesla stock has basically been on a steady decline since Elon started floating the idea of buying Twitter. I don't see this going well.

@TechConnectify Agreed. I like the Ionic 5 (even before you got one) and the VW microbus is also a contender for me. Whatever I get it will have an 800 volt system even though I plan to use level 2 most of the time.
