Nighttime photos taken recently in far west #Texas, just north of Big Bend NP. This area is part of the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve and as you would expect the star/planet/Milky Way visibility here is incredible. Some other mysterious lights occasionally appear in the desert night sky as well...

@Catawu well, it “appeared” intentionally, I set my drone to fly in a circle overhead with its lights on then I set up my camera on a tripod to take a long exposure as it circled.

@Trilobyter That makes sense. I figured it was either a laser or something mechanical. No one under it seemed alarmed. I really liked it. I told Hubs it was a portal and all those people disappeared into it. He’s on my list right now, so I mess with his mind.
