Looks like today's spike is the largest in a long time -- and this is why we're all experiencing lots of slowness and performance issues.
Even my small instances are being affected.

Rubicon@josemiguelcastillo @atomicpoet Good idea, but don't judge things to quickly. The system is responding to a huge surge right now. This is not normal operations.
@rubicon @atomicpoet yeah, it is slow but working... and the fediverse was able to grow much more a few weeks ago, when many many more people came here, with the existing infrastructure.
My idea of creating my own instance is more of a nerdy/techie interest 👍
