@eishiya @rayner_jean I have no idea what pinning a hi hashtag would mean as opposed to following one, but some great advice here and I appreciate the helpful spirit!

@JoanBandy Following a hashtag puts posts with that hashtag in your Home timeline.
Pinning is something you can do in the multi-column interface, pinning a hashtag makes a new column with posts from that hashtag.

@eishiya oh, cool! I’m assuming that’s a desktop or specific app thing. My phone app is one column everywhere!

@JoanBandy Yep, it depends on the client. The web client has this, and I think some of the mobile apps that support horizontal mode on tablets might also have it.
