Musk’s latest decree banning the promotion of Mastodon on Twitter is an obvious attempt to stymie services like Movetodon/FediFinder. Suggestion: These services should allow users to validate identity by posting an innocuous but 100% unique plain English phrase in their Twitter bio known only to the identifier service. Alternatively, if the account is public, a public tweet could be used. Musk can’t police that — certainly not through automated means. @[email protected] @[email protected]
