Hi @[email protected]

You have banned linking to your social media competitors, including via link aggregators

I'd like to report that @[email protected] is in direct violation of this policy

Or is this rule only going to be applied against your ideological enemies?

Thanks,

Judd

This particular rule is even more poorly thought out than the other rules that Musk is making on the fly. It says you can't link to many alternative social networks. I do have accounts on Mastodon and Post, am I allowed to mention that? Or will that get me suspended?
Further, before this rule was in place, I have tweeted links to those accounts, am I now required to go through my timeline of 70K+ tweets and see if anything I've ever tweeted violates the rule that Musk made up this morning?

Dear @[email protected]

@[email protected], one of my favorite accounts, is aware they are in direct violation of your wise rules but continues to ignore them

Please take action before this reckless behavior causes more damage

And please say hi to Jared for me

Your humble servant,

judd

@juddlegum
Musk specifically hasn’t banned mention of Tik Tok, or far right anti Semitic sites Gab, and Gttr.
Why is not difficult to work out….
@juddlegum I called her out twice on Twitter and lost both of my accounts. πŸ˜’
@juddlegum i hear he can't resist "pretty please with sugar on top."
@juddlegum It's not just that. MANY people use linking sites to direct people to their stores and personal sites, as well as their other social media / publication sites. So he's essentially directly prohibiting small/indie creatives and other business owners from using Twitter as any kind of promotional tool.

@juddlegum If old tweets to those platforms are a violation, that would be crazier than crazy.

But it would be consistent, right? If they are going to ban people for past actions, past tweets would be open for scrutiny as well.

#Twitter #TwitterCrazy #PlatformBanning

@neilparekh @juddlegum Taylor Lorenz was suspended on that rule for a tweet made before the rule was announced. It is actually happening.
@juddlegum We know he hates you|journalists. He thinks you'll spend every waking moment being the beta bitch to his whim and that you can't live without Twitter. Prove him wrong.

@juddlegum
For Pete’s sake, quit giving him your content.

Break with Twitter on your terms and take your followers!!!

@juddlegum You don't have to. His slathering fans will do it for you.
@juddlegum twitter profiles literally have a link section for other sites, will you get banned for using it?

@juddlegum

On the plus side, I'm seeing far fewer toots of tweets lately, and we didn't even need to ban them!

@juddlegum we're about to find out 🀠
@TexasObserver @juddlegum sadly I don't think he's reading responses here
@juddlegum @TexasObserver Thou shalt not have other social media platforms before him.
@juddlegum I don’t know what makes you think that was an oversight. That is indeed the rule! You are not allowed to mention your other accounts.

@juddlegum Who CARES? #Twitter is #Musk's TOY, not some social media that is supposed to welcome #journalists.

Why is this a big feal because it's happening to YOU? You can't even recognize that the rules DON'T MATTER. They are not in the least important.

Do you not realize Musk DOESN'T WANT YOU and that makes you a TRESPASSER on HIS property?

This is ridiculous. You guys think it is your space and are demanding he give seats in his Nazi bar! You have no right! (Except in some EU fantasies.)

@juddlegum At this point, shouldn't you suspend yourself, meaning your involvement with a capricious authoritarian running a large communications platform?
