Anyone wanna talk about thyroid issues? Mine went Hashimoto's Disease on me last year. Im still in the "dialing in dosage" stage of prognosis. The still going bald stage.

Hit me up for hints, hopes, and tips. #Thyroid #MediDon

@KrazyTheeAlaskan Hashimoto’s can be followed by other autoimmune diseases in time. I assume you’re already seeing a Dr for your thyroid. Are you seeing an Endocrinologist? Also Find a dermatologist who specializes in hair loss. Good luck
@marcibadwolf303 only my fam doc. Is an endocrinologist someone that my dr refers me to?

@KrazyTheeAlaskan

shiiit. diagnosed with hypothyroid this year.

@RCS welcome to my world. We found mine this March. Was chatting with @growingjohnsonsak about it a few months ago. I didnt know this is a huge American woman thing!
Anyway, my dr started will total suppression of my thyroid and said we were working to 1.0. I think i'll do better around 2.0. I started at 4.8 😳😳im on dosage attempt number 6 and hopefully have found the right level. I really want my hair to grow back. Im using nioxin now, too.

@KrazyTheeAlaskan @growingjohnsonsak

are those your TSH numbers? My TSH has been high for years (5 - 7), and no one took it seriously. . . . and yeah, I've been losing hair too, but I still have more hair and am fitter than many guys my age, so hair loss, weight gain, and muscle aches were just shrugged off as getting old. It wasn't until I started re-absorbing my teeth from the root that docs were finally like "whoa, maybe there is something going on". FFS

@RCS @growingjohnsonsak yes. I had been complaining about something in my throat for a few years. I had a swallow study done. Nothing. My Grama had thyroid problems and had her's removed in her mid 50s. So keeping that in mind i paid attention, i was adamant my levels be tested. They were in the 2s then skyrocketed to 4.8 last winter.
Im 45yrs on Friday the 23rd.
