Ok I'm officially sick of windows pulling shit like reinstalling edge and nagging me to buy office every update.
I need recommendations for a linux distro with the following features*
- easy for newcomers
- easy to run Windows software
- good perf/support for games (incl windows ones)
- decent community in case i have questions
*I'm asking for recommendations based on my listed needs. Don't recommend me one just because it's your favorite.
some of the responses to this have been helpful... others... I don't know if they disregarded my list or just didn't read it.
A lot of people are saying "use alternative software". This isn't helpful. I already use cross platform tools where possible but there are proprietary tools i have to use that don't have linux builds.
To put it another way I wrote a list of requirements. Replying with "your requirements are wrong" isn't helping anyone.

People unable to understand you have different requirements to them.
Funnily enough I feel like I get it 3x more often since growing tits.

But I can confirm it doesn't happen much in person when I'm wearing chains.
