@sethcotlar I often talk about the opportunity cost of corruption. This is part of it too.

Just frustrating wastes of time. I'd rather be exploring new things than guarding against stupidity!

@eric So true. Think of all of the energy we have to spend just explaining why trans folks have a right to exist, or that vaccines work, or why teaching about racism in schools is an ok thing to do, or why "election fraud" is not something that happens to any significant degree. The right wins because they set the conversational agenda on terms most favorable to their efforts to attract and mobilize recruits amongst the ranks of apolitical reactionaries.

@sethcotlar It is so frustrating to have so many hideous, destructive people dominating our news cycles. I got burned out of watching local news because every night was this robbery, this murder, etc. Now our national news has become basically the same thing. Enough is enough.
