None of this is surprising.
Soon, the TOS will exclude anyone who identifies as a journalist "because the media is the enemy of the people".
If it's not clear already, he's joined the club that includes Jordan Peterson, Kanye, etc - of rich/notable people having massive mental health issues in massively public ways.
It's really very sad.
He can be rich asshole and also be mentally ill. Many antisocial behaviors are in fact symptoms of certain mental illnesses. I mentioned two other examples in which "rich asshole" overlaps with "mental illness". This is simply reality.
And, stating otherwise is contrary to the actual diagnostic manual.
Stigma - in the minds of the ignorant - is independent of actual facts and functions. And, not a basis for avoiding facts - or making false statements.
You are welcome.
@isucceed
Why do you jump immediately to "He must be mentally ill?" Consider your own biases. It's not a false statement to avoid associating mental illness with being an asshole. You're so insistent on excusing his and others' behavior by claiming, entirely without diagnosis, that it must be due to mental illness. Why is that? Are you a psychiatrist? If you are, you should know better. If you aren't, you have no business attempting diagnosis.
In other words, FOH with your ableism. I was polite before. I'm not now. Your words will do no harm to rich assholes but they will harm marginalized people. You should do better.
Yeah he just earned a blocking.
Promoting compassion for the mentally ill, esp when that overlaps with "rich asshole", challenges tribal biases of various kinds - was the entire point of my remarks.
The toxic behavior of the man - and the objectively bad outcomes he's generating - aside, I believe him unwell.
And, on that count, I have compassion for his suffering and his humiliation. Just like the other two I mentioned.
There remain those who would find compassion offensive. For them I also hold it.
@TheMagicLemur @damaged @JxckS
Lol well done, fingers crossed!
@JxckS I don't understand why this ticking timebomb of a human being doesn't just trash his "Policies" altogether and just type in "DO NOT SAY ANY BAD THING THAT I DO NOT LIKE!!!"
At least then he won't have to keep changing it....
@JxckS If the Texas law stands he is going to be forced to reinstate everyone, including ElonJet!

Stan Fletcher, I wouldn't want that, because that would mean you can't ban people for inciting violence and spreading hatred and misinformation.
