This is real.

The first time I saw a doctor and said "something is very wrong," I was told it was stress and given Prozac and Prilosec.

A few years later, I was nearly dead. I was 5' 8" and 103 lbs. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. My hair was falling out. I couldn't stand up for more than a few seconds. I was living on NSAIDs and protein shakes.

Then I got mad and started firing doctors who wouldn't listen. And I finally got diagnosed.

@wrrrdnrrrdgrrrl Do No Harm, my ass. I’m sorry for your experience. Absolutely terrible.
@wrrrdnrrrdgrrrl I've been very lucky, myself, but so many women (and enby folx) around me have had such similar experiences. Heart attack, cancer, endometriosis, concussion...
@wrrrdnrrrdgrrrl
As I've found myself saying a couple of times recently, in different contexts, to someone with a hammer every problem looks like a nail.
