Ok I'm officially sick of windows pulling shit like reinstalling edge and nagging me to buy office every update.

I need recommendations for a linux distro with the following features*
- easy for newcomers
- easy to run Windows software
- good perf/support for games (incl windows ones)
- decent community in case i have questions

*I'm asking for recommendations based on my listed needs. Don't recommend me one just because it's your favorite.

@cratesmith from a UX perspective a Ubuntu version or derivate is probably a good switch. I personally use ZorinOS (in a dual boot until I can fully rid myself of all windows dependencies and habits). It's closer to Windows UI, but still Ubuntu. Regarding your other requirements I think there's not much difference between most distributions unless you aim for the top 10% of performance optimizations.
