Why should the person barely making ends meeting lose out on a few hours of happiness when people like Beckham have made millions.

@chribonn I think that's a fair point.... but my main ire is directed not at the everyday fans but at the commentators & profiteers who (as a non-football fan) seem to be parasitic on the game as beloved by the (shall we say 'real') fans... but I accept mine is a view from outside the game
