Looking for a good Mastodon client - Apple Silicon native would be best so I can run on iOS/iPadOS/macOS - happy to hear suggestions.
@Drwave interested you’re not just going to stick with the main one for easy discovery since the most folks are there. My only beef with this whole situation is how hard it is to find everyone
@jessicahische @Drwave the app is independent from the server. You can run any 3rd party app and it’s still just loading the same data as the official Masto client. Finding people is a bit of a drag anywhere but the movetodon-style apps from twitter make it easier. I think this will be improved in the future. Feeling like we’re in twitter 2008. Optimistic etc.
@303 @Drwave if they would just open it so you could see who people are following on other servers it would be soooo much easier. In early twitter that’s how I’d find everyone! Just go through friend’s follow lists
@jessicahische @Drwave yes it’s so stupid. You have to click through to their pages on other servers. There’s a shortcut to make it easier from @justin

Attached: 1 image Here's another Mastodon iOS Shortcut. This one lets you view someone's Following list (even if they’re on a different instance) and open one or more of those Profiles in browser tabs to see their posts, so you can figure out who to follow with less friction (and then use my other Shortcut to follow them without the copy/paste steps). https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/829d0e0f292842d8a6753cd999e77896 Once added to your Shortcuts app, just share a Profile to the Shortcut to use it. #iOS #Shortcuts #Projects

@jessicahische @Drwave One of the best tools to find folks on here that you know from Twitter is https://movetodon.org/
Movetodon: Finds your Twitter Friends on Mastodon

@jessicahische the main one?
I’m talking about iOS client app, not the mastodon instance. I don’t think there is a “main” client out there. Seems like there’s a new one every week!
Using Ivory for now.
