bahuaOn the birdsite, likes, retweets, replies, and other "engagement" helps build metrics that can be sold to interested parties. That may give you pause to engage around here, but it's different.
On mastodon, hitting "favorite," and "boost," and also replying to posts, help grow your network, to find more interesting people to read. It takes a little work, but it's very rewarding.
