Liana BrooksOkay... I've done a lot of plotting and RL work this week but very little damage to the 10k I'm writing for @[email protected]. I've been sending myself writing in emails, I know what scenes this is missing, so I'm going to tackle that this morning and see where we get.
The starting wordcount is 10,750.
I quit editing because I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the idea. And after a week of looking over the plot I realize the problem is that this is a 4 book series and that 4th romance is a running back beat to the big plot.
Adding the third POV of a non-romantic character gives me room to explore both platonic relationships and the politics that drive the enemies-to-lovers tropes in the first two books.
The third book is Friends/Rivals-To-Lovers and Book 4 is a (spoiler!) Second Chance Romance.
Shocking absolutely no one who has read any of my other books the major themes here are:
- identity
- acceptance
- partnerships
- the meaning of family
If your jam is enemies-to-lovers, battle couples, found families, people seeing and loving the real you, or overthrowing oligarchies you're going to love this series.
