Darren du NordHoly Crap! I made a small change to my #Twitter profile message tonight, just to say I moved to Mastodon. When I saved it, my Twitter account was instantly banned! I didn't even post a link: I only mentioned "Mastodon."
My advice: don't even post a message about it on your profile. Just walk away from that steaming pile of muskshit.
I think Twitter has reached a tipping point. There's no saving a platform with ownership so unstable and vindictive that it bans legit, truth toting journalists. The platform is now so completely unstable it can't be trusted in ANY WAY.
I fully expect all major news orgs to realize this and begin setting up their own Mastodon servers, like tonight.
Twitter is NOT a public space. Not your server, not your content! Musk can take it all away in an instant. Nobody can build a business or a following on that. Its insane for any legit, truth pursuing, democracy supporting news organization to invest one more tweet in that cesspool.
Run, don't walk, from Twitter.
