Hard to believe, but every airline has a malicious service known as "Flight Status" that provides coordinates to assassins.

I believe musk is using @elonjet to block links from Twitter to nearly all instances of mastodon because the flight information from that one account will be mirrored across most mastodon instances. (Musk has also banned links to the location information.)

Musk's trick: Is it about safety, or blocking a competitor? Every mastodon instance w/a user following @[email protected] has a mirror copy of that feed at a URL. For me at techhub.social the URL is: https://techhub.social/@[email protected] If you are not logged in, that redirects to: https://mastodon.social/@elonjet Thus, the "assassination threat" gives Elon an excuse to block almost every mastodon instance since every mastodon instance likely had a user following ElonJet. @[email protected] @[email protected]
