Statement from Washington Post Executive Editor Sally Buzbee:

NYT's statement:

"Tonight’s suspension of the Twitter accounts of a number of prominent journalists, including The New York Times’s Ryan Mac, is questionable and unfortunate. Neither The Times nor Ryan have received any explanation about why this occurred. We hope that all of the journalists’ accounts are reinstated and that Twitter provides a satisfying explanation for this action."

CNN:
@drewharwell how about making Twitter an Open Forum. Open Forum Doctrine : When Speech takes place in an Open Forum, that speech can qualify for protection of speech under the First Amendment!!
@SGKAVVAKGS @drewharwell I missed something. What does this have to do with the first amendment?
@pomerance @drewharwell I mention it because there an escalation of events that are in direct link with freedom of speech. Considering a platform utilizing the slogan of free speech is not considered as an open forum, therefore it’s may not qualify for protection of speech under the first amendment!
