I attached my own DIN clips to the Mikrotik router which takes up way less surface area when mounted like this! I've got metal DIN clips on the way for the KiwiSDR and fitlet2 as well. I am having to switch from the 14" x 18" plastic enclosure to the 20" x 20" metal one though. I've just got too much stuff to fit in here.

The mounting plate is all marked up for drilling and rivet nut installation. I have no idea how I'm going to get this freaking box on the plane though. The 18x14 could just fit in my biggest suitcase. No way with this thing though. Plus just the empty box weighs 35lbs on its own!
Drilled and riveted the mounting plate. Rivet nuts are nifty!
Rails and cable trays screwed down, equipment mounted to final locations for the main plate. I have two side "wings" that attach to the sides at 90 degrees to finish, and then LOTS of wiring.
Some of the wiring is complete. I've got to grab the crimp spade connectors from the shed and pick up some 14ga stranded THHN (the 12ga stuff is too thick for the DC PSU terminals)
@ExplodingLemur Pack your clothes in it and make it your suitcase? Duct tape a handle on it, first, though. (;
@ursuula this definitely won't fit in an overhead bin :)
