Sandy Hook happened 10 years ago today. At the time, people said "how many more children have to die before we do something to stop the killing?"

The answer: 25,000

25,000 children killed by guns in America in the last decade.

And still virtually nothing has been done.

@tristansnell @shan73198 Heard this along with the other awful stats on the news yesterday and thought this really surely must be the one that gets through to people? Gun shots are now THE LEADING CAUSE OF CHILD DEATH IN THE USA. If it were a disease would Americans be advocating for more diseases?

There’s an old saying “avoid it like the plague” but then we had an actual plague and no one wanted to avoid it….so….do Americans advocate for more diseases?
