Today's #Indigenous bookrave is for our cousins down south, Māori (Ngāti Porou and Te Whānau-ā-Apanui) poet Tayi Tibble. Holy, this is some badass poetry. In Poūkahangatus, Tibble gracefully balances contemporary life with narratives of a rich matriarchal lineage. A sense of the land is always present and invoked in ever-shifting (but always striking) images. If you ever have the chance to see Tayi Tibble in person, GO.
