@ProPublica Yes - but please if bringing up #Afghanistan please acknowledge the immediate and ongoing violence against women happening right now there. Also many are starving bc Taliban steals all the limited food supply. Not saying this report is unimportant but context matters.

Reading it now - this is so horrific as well, what is in the report. The lack of accountability for violence is also part of what undermined any possibility to go to a democratic system. Valuable report.

@ProPublica we still should hold CIA accountable 100%! But its important to acknowledge real, present and life-threatening problems so that we can also act on them and protect women now. Also some of them can do remote work and are skilled, and don't need much pay - please DM if you want to hire women in Afghanistan

@ProPublica ok now having read the full report this is incredibly important to get the story out. my other comments also stand but this story is so valuable and is a badly needed accountability to stop this kind of cover story for murder from continuing

@ProPublica Thanks propublica for this well documented and tragic story. It’s timely precisely because the ultimate outcome in Afghanistan was supposedly exactly what all this killing was aimed to prevent. All that violence was rendered pointless. And yet, supposedly righteous people will continue forever to sacrifice lives on the altar of the greater good.
