About a week away from winter #solstice and we’ve entered the season of the #analemma:
Around about now the Northern hemisphere, evenings are starting to get lighter again!
Sadly the mornings keep getting darker until almost new year…. Still, the evenings are no longer drawing in! Celebrate and be merry!

@antinomy thanks for teaching me a new thing. I'd never heard the word Analemma...

Although I think I might need a visualization to consume Wikipedia's explanation. "The north–south component of the analemma results from the change in the Sun's declination due to the tilt of Earth's axis of rotation. The east–west component results from the nonuniform rate of change of the <blah>."

This stuff melts my brain. Maybe I'm safer staying with the it'll get lighter again soon message!
