What do you reckon are the best #openaccess #academic book publishing ventures around - where it isn't user-pays? I've published #OA with #Bloomsbury's Environmental Culture's series and Open Humanities Press and Punctum. But curious what other things are out there that I might not know of #academicmastodon #academictoot #books
@bicycleuser Interesting you published with #Bloomsbury. I contributed to one of their Cultural History of Color volumes and they are currently producing my monograph. Their OA fees for monographs are high but not higher than those of other academic publishers. 15000 £ is more than I can afford, but I might consider retrospective OA in the future. Other than that, I have published an OA paper with Taylor & Francis. My university has a deal, so I did not need to pay OA fees.
